Eastern Consolidated Arranges East Village Lease for International Hotpot Restaurant Chain
NEW YORK, NY – April 6, 2018 – Eastern Consolidated’s Retail Leasing Division has arranged a 10-year, 2,400-square-foot ground floor lease at 218 East 14th Street in the East Village for First Lamb Shabu, a Beijing-based hotpot restaurant chain with more than 300 locations throughout China.
Eastern Consolidated’s Harris Bulow, Senior Director, Aric Trakhtenberg, Director, and Kevin Bisconti, Associate Director, represented the landlord. Evelyn Zhu of Douglas Elliman in Bayside, Queens, procured the tenant, an operator opening his second First Lamb Shabu restaurant in the U.S., with his first in Flushing, Queens.
“This is a terrific East Village space with 13-foot-high ceilings and 30 feet of frontage,” Bulow said. “The storefront is ideally located on 14th Street, a busy east/west commercial corridor with foot traffic 24/7. It’s also several blocks from the Union Square transportation hub as well as steps from the Third Avenue L train station.”
Trakhtenberg continued, “First Lamb Shabu is a successful international brand offering delicious hotpot dishes. The restaurant features a young, urban ambiance that will attract young professionals living in the East Village as well as students attending nearby colleges and universities nearby including New York University, Cooper Union, the New School, St. John’s University, and Cardozo Law.”
He added that neighboring tenants Vanesa’s Dumpling, Bubble Tea, and Synergy Fitness Club will complement First Lamb Shabu’s new location.
