Marcia Rose Yawitz, an Eastern Consolidated principal since June 2006, is a veteran real estate professional with over forty years of experience. In her 11 years at Eastern, she has sold in excess of one billion dollars of investment grade real estate including office and residential buildings, shopping centers, development sites, air rights and blocks of sponsor-owned unsold coop and condominium units. With her knowledge of all phases of real estate, she is responsible for the education and training of the junior brokers and associates at Eastern Consolidated.
Ms. Yawitz began her career in the management of apartment buildings throughout Manhattan and the Bronx. She went on to establish the Sales Division for J.H. Taylor Management Corp. She joined Coronet Properties, Inc. and was responsible for the conversion to cooperative and condominium ownership and new construction for over 7,500 residential units. She was also a vice president of the Harlan Company, responsible for their residential acquisition and consulting division; and subsequently began her own consulting company with such clients as Forest City/Ratner, Morningside Gardens Cooperative, and Citibank.
Ms. Yawitz is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
Ms. Yawitz is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and attended the M.B.A. program at New York University.
